Humble Beginnings

Humble beginnings is the best way to describe American Idol Season Ten finalist Jacob Lusk. From the choir loft of his hometown church, to singing for thirty million-plus television viewers weekly, this Compton crooner has no plans on turning back. His Rendition of "God Bless the child" was considered by the judges, "The Best Ever" on Idol. Subsequent performances of the Motown Classic "You're All I Need to Get By" and "A House is Not a Home" drew critical acclaim, and comparisons to musical greats Aretha Franklin, and Luther Vandross. Prior To American Idol, Jacob was featured in numerous plays in the Los Angeles area, and worked with late Hip Hop, and R&B phenom Nate Dogg (Nathaniel Hale). Nate, known for his catchy hooks, and smooth baritone took an immediate interest in Jacob, and a kinship was formed. Jacob often credits Nate for beginning his musical journey. Lusk has also collaborated with Empress of Soul Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder, and gospel star Kirk Franklin. To his credit he has recorded with super-producers Tricky Stewart, Rodney Jerkins, Rock Mafia, Harvey Mason Jr, and the legendary Don Was. Jacob Lusk: singer, songwriter, and actor, is now prepared to take his unique sound, and style to the world.

  4. Your version of God Bless the Child has been pulled from YouTube, and it is not available for sale on iTunes. I understand not wanting to give your material away but it's not good for your fans to not be able to hear the music at all.

You should call the powers that be at AI and tell them that we want to hear you.
